Peter Parks gave another donation to the unit in February in honor of “Heart Month.”
Parks was a former patient in the Cardiopulmonary Rehab program and said that after his heart attack and surgery, he was reluctant to participate in the program but after much persuasion he reconsidered. After completing the program, he said he enjoyed it thoroughly and gained a great deal from going through it.
Parks previously made a financial contribution to the unit in 2011, which enabled the hospital to expand and renovate the facility.
Parks said he is impressed with the program and with the expansion, adding it would thrill him tremendously to see this program thrive and become the best Cardiac Rehab program in this area. He went on to say that he was fortunate to be able to give and glad to be able to do it.
The Cardiovascular & Pulmonary Rehabilitation program is designed for people who have experienced a cardiac event or have lung-related issues.
