Stephens Co. Historic Courthouse Announces New Entrance Procedure, Hours

August 11, 2014

Starting today, there is a change in hours and policies at the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.

Stephens County Administrator Phyllis Ayers said that beginning today, the historic courthouse will have only one entrance available for the public to use.

That will be the entrance facing Tugalo Street. Starting today, the Doyle Street entrance will be locked.

Also, she said that the historic courthouse will close each day for lunch between noon and 1 p.m.

Ayers said this is due to the limited number of personnel functioning in the historic courthouse.

The change applies only to the Stephens County Historic Courthouse.
