Stephens Co. Falls to Habersham In Baseball

Jarred Jones singled to score Steven Loudermilk in the bottom of the sixth inning with the go ahead run and Habersham Central added two more runs in the same inning as the Raiders beat the Indians 6-3 Tuesday night in non-region baseball action.

Houston Mullinax led the Indians offensively, reaching base all four times, scoring a run, and knocking in a run.

Ben Cleveland also had two hits and a run scored for Stephens County.

Meanwhile, Peyton Dalton and Seth Blackburn had two hits each and Bennett Black had two RBI’s to lead the Raider attack.

Cole Wilbanks got the win on the mound for Habersham Central, pitching a complete game and allowing three runs and six hits.

The loss drops the Indians to 5-3 on the season.

Stephens County is scheduled to return to action today at Hart County.
