Stephens County Commissioners are scheduled to meet this morning for a regularly scheduled meeting.
Today’s meeting is set to start at 8:30 a.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa.
During the meeting, Stephens County Commissioners are expected to discuss possible building permit fees.
Also, county commissioners are scheduled to consider motions to approve a budget extension and a change order regarding landfill closure.
Other items on the county commission’s meeting agenda for today include consideration of Fiscal Year 2014 budget amendments, consideration of a motion to have Mauldin and Jenkins perform the county’s Fiscal Year 2014 financial audit, and consideration of a motion to purchase a bucket truck and chipper for the Public Works Department with money out of SPLOST V funds.
This morning’s Stephens County Commission meeting also allows time for public comment.
