Stephens County Commissioners will hold their final scheduled meeting of 2012 later today.
County commissioners are scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. today for their regularly scheduled meeting in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa.
The county commission is not planning to hold a second monthly meeting this month.
Commissioners will begin with a work session on the agenda items at 5 p.m. Immediately following the work session, commissioners will move into their business meeting where they will take action on the agenda items.
Items on today’s agenda include appointments and re-appointments to the Joint Development Authority and a series of budget amendments.
Today is also the final scheduled meeting for outgoing county commissioners J.B. Hudgins and Jonesy Haygood.
A reception in honor of Hudgins and Haygood will precede the meeting today, taking place from 3 to 5 p.m. in the historic courthouse courtroom.
The public is invited to attend both the reception and the meeting.
