Stephens County Commissioners will meet this morning for a regularly scheduled meeting.

The meeting is set to start at 8:30 a.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa.

Commissioners will begin with a work session on the agenda items.

Items on the agenda include an update from Toccoa-Stephens County Chamber of Commerce President Wendi Bailey on tourism promotion. Bailey provided the same report to Toccoa City Commissioners Monday.

Also on the agenda is consideration of a motion to approve a change order request for landfill closure from Fort Lamar Services for contract extension to increase by 60 days, from 150 to 210 days.

Immediately following the commission’s work session on the agenda items, commissioners will move into the business meeting where they take action on the agenda items.

The meeting also allows time for public comment.
