Stephens County Commissioners are scheduled to hold a regularly scheduled monthly meeting later today.
The commission will meet at 5:30 p.m. in the second-floor courtroom of the historic Stephens County Courthouse in downtown Toccoa.
Commissioners will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a work session to discuss items that are on today’s meeting agenda.
Items on the agenda include consideration of a contract renewal with GIS1.net, consideration of a motion to appoint County Clerk Beth Rider as the Secretary for the Stephens County Planning Commission, consideration of a motion to sign a letter of support to the state’s Department of Community Affairs for broadband connectivity from Hart County to metro Atlanta, consideration of a bid award for a copier for the Clerk of Court’s Office, consideration of budget amendments, and consideration of a motion to declare the communications tower at the old Stephens County Jail as surplus and advertise for bids.
Right after their work session, Stephens County Commissioners will move into the business meeting in order to vote on agenda items.
