Stephens Co. Commission Holds Regular Meeting Tuesday

Stephens County Commissioners approve the renewal of a contract related to its GIS mapping services.

Tuesday, county commissioners unanimously approved the renewal of a contract with at a cost of $500 per month.

Stephens County Administrator Phyllis Ayers says this company helps the county and the Tax Assessor’s Office with its GIS mapping system and has done so for the last several years.

Also Tuesday, Stephens County Commissioners unanimously voted to appoint County Clerk Beth Rider to serve as the Secretary for the Stephens County Planning Commission.

In other action from Tuesday’s meeting, commissioners also awarded a bid for a lease agreement with Tri-County Machines to provide a new copier for the Stephens County Clerk of Court’s Office, declared a communications tower at the old Stephens County Jail as surplus, and approved a series of Fiscal Year 2014 budget amendments.

All of those approvals were also unanimous.
