Southern Living Showcase Home Remains Open

November 15, 2013

The Southern Living Showcase Home remains open at the Currahee Club in Stephens County.

Builders broke ground back in February and the home was completed a few months ago.

Dillard-Jones Builders of Greenville, South Carolina built home that overlooks the 17th hole on the Currahee Club golf course, a par-3 that requires golfers to hit over a quarry off the tee to reach the green.

This is the 5th Southern Living tour home that the company has built and twice previously, Dillard-Jones has been named Southern Living Builder of the Year.

Currahee Club Managing Director Andrew Ward said tours have gone well since the home opened just under two months ago.

It costs $10 to tour the home.

Ward says proceeds benefit two area charities, Neighbors4Neighbors of Stephens County and the Food 2 Kids program.

He added that the charities and the whole community have been very supportive.

The Southern Living Showcase Home at the Currahee Club is open Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays through December 22.

On Fridays and Sundays, hours are from 1 to 6 p.m. and on Saturdays, it is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

To tour the home, drive up to the Currahee Club gate at the end of Oak Valley Road and tell them you want to tour the home or buy tickets online at www.curraheeclub.com.
