Small Grass Fire Results In No Injuries or Damage

No damage resulted from a small grass fire at the Toccoa Natural Gas Operations Center earlier this week.

It occurred on Wednesday during the 4 p.m. hour.

According to Toccoa City Manager Billy Morse, the fire started after a spark flew from a piece of equipment and caught the grass on fire.

Morse said Toccoa fire crews responded quickly and put out the fire in minutes before it could grow and create any problems.

The city manager went on to say that there were no injuries, no damage to any city equipment or facilities, nor was there any threat to the public because of the fire.
