The investigation is underway as to what started a fire in Oconee County, South Carolina that required assistance from Stephens County volunteer firefighters.
A passer-by apparently reported the fire to Oconee County authorities just after 5 a.m. today.
It occurred on Cleveland Pike Road, near the Georgia-South Carolina state line.
Shiloh Fire Department from Stephens County was called out to assist firefighters from Cleveland Volunteer Fire Department, as well as other Oconee County fire stations.
Officials in Oconee County said the fire heavily damaged the living quarters of an old farmhouse, but added nobody was injured as no one was home at the time.
Oconee County fire officials did say that an estimated 80 percent of the one-story structure was lost to the fire, as well as contents in the home.
