The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office said two people face charges after authorities searched a Toccoa residence last week.
Last Wednesday, agents from the Mountain Judicial Circuit N.C.I.S. Drug Team and the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office investigations and patrol divisions, along with the Sheriff’s Office’s D.E.L.T.A. Unit, executed a search warrant at a home on Christine Circle.
Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said the search warrant was the culmination of a month-long investigation.
“In executing the search warrant, they were able to seize methamphetamine, marijuana, numerous prescription drugs, and some firearms,” said Shirley.
According to Shirley, authorities arrested 50-year-old Virginia Ann Vinson of Toccoa and 52-year-old Jimmy Coffee of Toccoa.
Vinson, whose residence authorities searched, faces one count of Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Crime, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Distribute, two counts of Possession of a Schedule Two Narcotic, one count of Possession of a Schedule Three Narcotic, two counts of Possession of a Schedule Four Narcotic, one count of Possession of Marijuana Less Than One Ounce, one count of Possession of Methamphetamine, and one count of Bringing Contraband Across a Guard Line.

The Habersham County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit and the National Guard Counterdrug Task Force assisted in this operation as well.
