SCSO Makes Child Molestation Arrest

One man faces a charge of child molestation after an investigation this month by authorities.

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said that his office received the report of an alleged case of child molestation earlier this month.

“Our Special Victims Unit was notified and the investigator interviewed the child and the mother,” said Shirley. “The child disclosed that it was touched in inappropriate areas of their body. As a result of the investigation and interviews of witnesses and some evidence that was obtained, the Sheriff’s Office was able to arrest 28-year-old Kevin Vickery of Currahee Lane in Toccoa.”

Shirley said that Vickery is charged with one count of Child Molestation.

The sheriff said that Vickery was booked into the Stephens County Detention Center and was released on a $20,000 bond.
