SCSO Announces Arrests In Connection With Reported Va. Homicide

Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley said Monday that three people have been arrested in Toccoa in connection with a Virginia homicide over the weekend.

In a Facebook post, Shirley said the homicide occurred in Franklin County, Virginia in the early morning hours of Saturday.

He said that investigators from Stephens County and Franklin County, Virginia worked around the clock from Saturday afternoon until the arrests were made Sunday at the Host Inn in Toccoa.

According to WDBJ-TV in Roanoke, the man killed in Franklin County, Virginia was identified by authorities there as 66-year-old Brian Edward Foy of Moneta, Virginia.

Moneta is located southwest of Roanoke, Virginia.

The WDBJ report stated that Foy was found dead in his home by his son Saturday morning and adds that Foy had been shot.

WDBJ and the Franklin County, Virginia Sheriff’s Office identified the suspects arrested in Toccoa in connection to this homicide as 31-year-old Daniel Percy Arnot of Eastanollee, and accomplices 25-year-old Michael Anthony Edwards and 25-year-old Carrie Ramey, both of Georgia.
