Three people face charges after a traffic stop last week in Stephens County.
According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, deputies conducted the traffic stop on Friday after spotting a truck without a tag.
“Deputies and investigators were working an area of the county and were able to initiate a traffic stop on Vale Road, which led to a search warrant for a home located just off of Vale Road,” said Shirley. “Investigators discovered methamphetamine and marijuana in the home, as well as some paraphernalia.”
Shirley said that 36-year-old Bobby Shane Adams of Toccoa was charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, misdemeanor possession of marijuana, misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer, and a traffic-related offense.
In addition, the sheriff said that 35-year-old Anthony Lamar Bell of Toccoa and 31-year-old Peggy Michelle Hunt of Martin were both charged with misdemeanor obstruction of a law enforcement officer.
Shirley went on to say that Bell also faces outstanding arrest warrants out of Franklin County.
