The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office has reported two arrests.
Authorities said the first arrest occurred in connection to a June 27 theft on Pineview Road.
According to Stephens County Sheriff Randy Shirley, various pieces of gold and silver jewelry were taken from the residence.
Shirley said that following an investigation; deputies with his office served a search warrant at a room at the Budget Inn in Toccoa the next day and recovered several pieces of jewelry.
That search led to the arrest of Jeremy Carter, 33, of Eastanollee for one count of burglary.
Carter remains in the Stephens County Jail at last report.
Meanwhile, the second arrest came after deputies initially responded to a call regarding a reported theft on Oak Valley Road on June 29.
Shirley said that upon arrival, deputies found a white pick-up truck being driven by David Pressley, 31, of Toccoa.
According to the sheriff, the vehicle matched the description given by the caller.
Shirley said deputies were unable to prove a theft had occurred, but did find Pressley to be in possession of narcotics and drug related objects.
As a result, authorities arrested Pressley and charged him with Criminal Trespass, Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of a Schedule II narcotic, and Possession and Use of Drug Related Objects.
