Stephens County Middle School is preparing for its “After-School CRCT Blitz” over the next couple of weeks.
The “blitz” will take place tomorrow and Thursday, April 17 and 18, as well as next Monday and Tuesday, April 22 and 23.
Stephens County Middle School said that administrators and teachers have looked at data and monitored student progress to identify skill areas in which students need to improve and the “blitz” will allow students to have the opportunity to review and practice those skills, as well as learn valuable test-taking strategies.
The middle school said students will attend sessions that follow their academic schedules. For example, a student whose first academic class is math will attend math on the first day.
According to the middle school’s announcement, students choosing to participate in the “CRCT Blitz” will need to have transportation available by 4 p.m. each day.
Stephens County Middle School said that in an effort to alleviate traffic concerns during the “CRCT Blitz,” parents of 8th grade students participating in the “blitz” should enter and exit the middle school from Rose Lane, while parents of 6th and 7th grade students staying for the “blitz” should enter and exit from Wetlands Trail at the rear of the middle school. The Wetlands Trail entrance is accessed by way of Sorrells Road. The school also said that any 6th or 7th grade student riding with an 8th grade sibling or friend will report to the normal car rider area.
The school said pick-up for students leaving at the end of the school day and not taking part in the “blitz” remains unchanged.
