SCMS Football Now 2-0

The Stephens County Middle School Rebel football team is also 2-0 on the season.

Saturday, the Rebels defeated Elbert County at The Reservation, 40-0.

The Rebels would take a 14-0 lead at the end of the first quarter on touchdown runs by Hassan Brown and Brandon Wheeler.

Stephens County would add three more touchdown runs in the second quarter, two by Wheeler and one by Brown, to take a 34-0 lead into halftime.

The only score in the second half was a 3-yard touchdown run by Landon Bentley with less than 2 minutes to go in the ballgame.

The Rebels next game will be Saturday, Sept. 21st, when they host Franklin County.  Kickoff will be at 6 p.m.
