The Stephens County Middle School football team wins its conference championship.
Stephens County Middle School’s Rebels did that on Saturday by defeating HartCounty in Hartwell 14-0.
The win gave StephensCounty the NEGIAA title.
Stephens County opened the scoring in the first half, with quarterback Griff Pruitt finding Cole Rogers for a passing touchdown to make it 6-0.
Cole Beitzel added the Rebels’ second touchdown, running one in at the end of a long drive to make it 14-0.
After that, the Rebel defense did the rest by holding Hart County out of the end zone.
This was the third straight shutout for the Rebels.
Stephens County Middle School’s next game is at home Thursday versus Madison County at 4:30 p.m.
