SCMS Basketball Update

The Stephens County Middle School boys’ basketball teams split with Hart County.

The Rebel 7th and 8th grade boys played Hart County at home Tuesday.

In the 7th grade boys’ game, Hart County broke open what was a tie game at the half to beat Stephens County 41-22.

Ty Nails led the Rebels with nine points.

In the 8th grade boys’ game, Stephens County beat Hart County 43-23.

DeUndra Singleton and Montavius Thornton each had 10 points for the 8th grade Rebel boys.

Moving to the girls’ side, Stephens County Middle School visited Hart Tuesday.

In the 7th grade girls’ game, Stephens County defeated Hart 32-12.  Treasure Lone had 13 points for the Lady Rebels.

In the 8th grade girls’ game, Stephens County had the ball late but came up just short in a 31-29 loss to Hart County.  Erin Carter had 10 points for Stephens County.

In another 8th grade girls’ basketball update, the Lady Rebels jumped out to a 16-2 lead and beat Elbert County last week 37-13.

Erin Carter, Anaiah Wilson, and Tykia Thompson each had eight points for the Stephens County 8th grade girls against Elbert County.
