SCMS 7th Grade Boys Basketball Update

The Stephens County Middle School 7th grade boys’ basketball team split a couple of games last week to close out the regular season.

First, last Tuesday, the Rebel 7th grade boys lost to Hart County in Hartwell by a score of 42-25. Kole Rogers led the Rebels with 6 points, while Hassan Brown, Kumasi Maxwell, and Montavis Thornton had 4 points each.

Then on Friday, the 7th grade boys defeated Franklin County in Carnesville by the score of 33-25.

Montavis Thornton led the Rebels with 10 points, while Hassan Brown and Kole Rogers had six points each.

The 7th grade boys finished the regular season with an overall record of 8-4 and conference record of 5-3.

The NEGIAA conference tournament will start this Friday at Hart County with games between the fourth and fifth seeds.

The complete seedings and brackets will be finalized tonight at a conference meeting.
