SCHS Volleyball Update

Stephens County High School’s varsity girls’ volleyball team picks up two more wins in a busy week last week.

First on August 18, the Lady Indians hosted West Hall and East Jackson in a tri-match.

The Lady Indians lost both matches, falling to both teams in straight sets.

Then on August 20, the Lady Indians traveled to East Hall to participate in a quad match against East Hall, Jackson County, and Discovery High School.

Stephens County started the quad match with a straight set loss to East Hall.

In their second match, the Lady Indians beat Discovery in straight sets.

The Lady Indians then wrapped up the quad match with a tight three-set loss to Jackson County, dropping the third set, 25-18, after splitting the first two sets of the match.

Finally on Saturday, the Lady Indians traveled to Jefferson High School to play five matches.

In the first match, the Lady Indians lost a three-set match to Madison County, dropping the third set, 15-6.

The Lady Indians then came back and beat Jackson County in straight sets in their second match.

Stephens County then dropped their final three matches last Saturday in straight sets, losing to Tallulah Falls, Jefferson, and Lanier.

For the season, the Lady Indians now sit at 4-14 overall.

They were scheduled to travel to White County last night for a tri-match against White County and Fannin County.

Scores from that have not been reported yet.

Meanwhile on Saturday, the Lady Indians will travel to Clarke Central to participate in four matches.
