SCHS Tennis Sweeps East Hall

Stephens County picks up a pair of wins on the tennis courts.

Both the Lady Indian and Indian tennis teams beat East Hall on Wednesday in a non-region match.

First, the Lady Indians won their first match of the season by a score of 3-2.

Freshmen Mya Lingle, Paige Phillips, and Kasey Westmoreland sparked the girls’ victory by sweeping their singles contests.

The Lady Indians’ overall season record is 1-2.

Then, the boys’ team shutout East Hall by a match score of 5-0.

Ben Smith, Brayden Shiflet, and Carson Keener won their singles matches, as did the doubles teams of Troy Broska & Ryan Roach and Levi Dodd & Andrew Burtt.

The boys’ overall season record is 2-1.

The next match for both teams is today at home against Hart County.
