SCHS Tennis Headed on Road for State Tourney

Both Stephens County High School tennis teams will head on the road for next week’s state AAAA tennis tournament.

Both teams lost Thursday in Region 8-AAAA semi-final action. The Lady Indians lost to Madison County 3-1, while the Indian boys lost to Lanier 3-0.

The Lady Indians then lost to Chestatee in the third place match 3-1, while the Indian boys defeated Chestatee in their third place match 3-2.

Seeded fourth from the region, the Lady Indian tennis team will head west to play LaGrange next week in the first round of the state playoffs.

Seeded third from the region, the Indian boys’ tennis team will travel to Columbus for the first round of the state tournament next week.
