SCHS Softball Wins Over Hart
Stephens County High School softball picks up another non-region win versus an area rival.
Tuesday, the Lady Indians traveled to face Hart County in a game that was moved due to a scheduling conflict.
The move did not matter as the Lady Indians put another one in the win column, winning over the Lady Bulldogs, 7-1.
Karly Smith, who was 2 for 4 with an RBI and a run scored, led the Lady Indians at the plate.
Helping out offensively was Alana Dunson, who was 2 for 3 with an RBI, along with Peyton Terrell and Emma Whitfield, who each added a double with an RBI.
In the circle, the Lady Indians were led once again by Emma Whitfield as she scattered 5 hits over 7 innings, allowing just 1 unearned run, while striking out 7 and walking none in the win.
The win pushes the Lady Indians’ overall record to 11-1.
They are also 4-1 in the region and return to region play this Thursday at Oconee County for their next game.
