SCHS Softball Shuts Out North Oconee

The Stephens County Lady Indian softball team picks up its first region win of the year.

On Tuesday, the Lady Indians beat North Oconee 10-0.

Stephens County jumped on top in the first inning, scoring four runs and never looking back.

Emma Whitfield went 3 for 3 with 3 RBI’s and Karly Smith added a two-run homerun in the second inning.

Meanwhile, McKenzie Rogers pitched a complete game for the Lady Indians, shutting out North Oconee and striking out two, while allowing only five hits.

The Lady Indians are now 7-2 overall and 1-1 in the region.

Meanwhile, the Lady Indian JV softball team beat North Oconee 1-0 at the Reservation on Tuesday.

Bailey Dobbs drove in the winning run for Stephens County and Madison Massee pitched a complete game for the win.

Both the JV and varsity softball teams for Stephens County are back in action today at Hart County.
