SCHS, Madison Split in Basketball

The Stephens County Lady Indians ran their record to 5-1 with a resounding 47-26 win over the Lady Red Raiders of Madison County Friday night at the Currahee Arena.

Stephens County jumped out to an 18-5 lead in the first quarter and never looked back.

Lexie Cash and Mya Cleveland led the Lady Indians with 11 points each.

Mya Moss led the Lady Red Raiders with 14 points.

Meanwhile, the Madison County boys got their first win of the season in the nightcap, topping the Stephens County boys 47-41.

Tavoris Davis led the Indian boys with 13 points.

Malik Freeman led the Madison County Red Raiders with 14 points.

Stephens County’s boys fell to 1-5 on the year after the loss to Madison County.
