Stephens County High School is implementing new security measures.

High School officials said that beginning Tuesday, the entrance gate to Stephens County High School off of White Pine Road will be open for parent drop-off and pick-up until 8 a.m. and after 2 p.m.

However, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., that gate will be closed.

The high school said anyone dropping off or picking up students during these hours must enter from Sorrells Road and pick up or drop off at the New Entrance.

In addition, the high school said all visitors must check in at the Main Office at the New Entrance of Stephens County High School.

Stephens County High School officials said they appreciate the public’s cooperation in helping to implement these new security measures.
