SCHS Football Holding Spring Scrimmage Saturday

indiansThe Stephens County High School football team will wrap up Spring Practice with a scrimmage this weekend.

That scrimmage will take place at 6 p.m. on Saturday at the Reservation in Toccoa.

Indians’ Head Coach Frank Barden said everyone is welcome to come out and enjoy some spring football.

“Admission is if you want to bring a towel and a bar of soap for the kids when they shower down here in the field house,” said Barden.

Barden went on to say that the goal is to get a lot of different players onto the field and see what they can do following a few weeks of practice.

“Given the schedule of our middle school with our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders will dictate how much they get to be out there, but I know our varsity will be out there and we are going to try to do a game-type scrimmage with them.”

Barden said it has been a good Spring so far and he is looking forward to a strong ending with Saturday’s scrimmage game.
