SCHS Class of 2014 Graduates

The Stephens County High School Class of 2014 takes the next step.

Graduation took place Friday night.

grad 2It was moved indoors to the Currahee Arena at the high school due to the threat of inclement weather.

215 graduates received their diplomas Friday night.

Stephens County High School Principal Sandy Steele said it has been a phenomenal class.

“It is one of those classes that has a great chemistry, a great mix,” said Steele. “There are very strong academic champions in this class. We have SkillsUSA winners in this class. We have got people that have obtained athletic scholarships in this class. It is just a great group overall.”

Out of those 215 graduates, 72 were honor graduates.

The valedictorian was Connor Roberts and the salutatorian was Josie Anderson.

As a group, the Class of 2014 at Stephens County High School received $1.95 million in scholarships.

The class is also eligible for another $2.725 million in potential HOPE scholarship money.
