SCHS Basketball Splits With Hart Co.

The Stephens County Indian boys’ basketball team runs its record to 9-3 with a 74-62 win over the Hart County Bulldogs at the Currahee Arena in Toccoa Monday night.

The game was tied at the end of the first quarter, but the Indians managed to pull ahead and keep the lead for the rest of the game.

Nunu Walker led all scorers with 21 points. DeUndra Singleton had 13 points and Ty Nails chipped in with 11.

The Indian boys will play in the Apple Classic in Walhalla, South Carolina starting on December 28th

Moving to the girls’ game, Stephens County hung with the Lady Bulldogs for the first quarter, but ended up losing by a 55-38 score.

Kentasia Trimier led the Lady Indians with 11 points.

Stephens County’s girls are now 3-9 on the season.

They will play in the McDonald’s Shootout in Hartwell starting on December 28.
