SCHS Basketball Back in Action This Weekend

The Stephens County Indian and Lady Indian basketball teams return to action this weekend.

Last week, both teams took part in holiday tournaments, with the Indian boys traveling to Walhalla, South Carolina and the Lady Indians taking part in a tournament in Hartwell.

The Indian boys won their tournament. The Indians defeated Blue Ridge, South Carolina, East Paulding, and Pickens, South Carolina on their way to the tourney win. The Indian boys are now 10-4 on the season.

Meanwhile, the Lady Indians lost three games to finish eighth place in the tournament in Hartwell. The Lady Indians lost to Blue Ridge, South Carolina, Westside, South Carolina, and Hart County along the way. The Lady Indians are now 2-12 on the season.

Saturday, the Indians and Lady Indians make the trek to Dahlonega to face Lumpkin County. Tip-off from Dahlonega is set for 4 p.m. with air time on AM 630 WNEG and wnegradio.com set for 3:45 p.m.
