School System Honors Retirees

June 2, 2014

The end of a school year also means that some Stephens County educators call it a career.

Last month, the school system honored its retirees for this year with a reception at Stephens County High School.

This year, the Stephens County School System honored 21 retirees.

Stephens County school officials say those retirees had a total of 516 years of combined service to education.

Out of those 516 years, the school system says 472 of those years of service were in Stephens County.

This year’s retirees are: George J. Bolmon, Kevin E. Boyce, Norma S. Brewer, F. Lee Carabin, Anne H. Caudell, Sue Nell Dill, C. Marie Eller, Tammay L. Gearhart, Claire C. Harrison, Kathy Y. Jameson, Kristeen J. Morrow, Jeffrey A. Nunn, Teresa C. O’Shields, Teresa C. Scott, Terry D. Stepp, Karen V. Steppe, Gerald G. Stokes, Dianne Taylor, Sherrie A. Whiten, Donny L. Williams, and Mary A. Fortson.
