Rogers Named to GWCCA Overview Committee

A northeast Georgia state representative receives an appointment to a state-level overview committee.

Last week, Georgia House Speaker David Ralston announced the appointment of State Representative Terry Rogers of Clarkesville to the Georgia World Congress Center Authority Overview Committee.

The GWCCA Overview Committee is responsible for monitoring and reviewing the operations of the GWCCA. Members will serve for a term concurrent with their 2015-2016 legislative terms of office as members of the General Assembly.

Other State House members appointed to the GWCCA Overview Committee include State Representative Butch Parrish of Swainsboro, Representative Mike Cheokas of Americus, House Speaker Pro Tem Jan Jones of Milton, and State Representative Rahn Mayo of Decatur.

Rogers says he is appreciative to Speaker Ralston for appointing him to the GWCCA Overview Committee.

He also says that as construction and new developments are underway for the new Atlanta stadium, he looks forward to working with the authority and his fellow committee members to ensure that they protect the assets and interests of all Georgians.
