Reminder: Stephens Co. Schools In Session This Week

Stephens County schools are scheduled to be in regular session both today and the rest of the week following the President’s Day holiday.

Originally scheduled as inclement weather recovery days, the Stephens County Board of Education voted back in October to add all four days this week, today through Friday, back into the calendar as normal school days.

Meanwhile, Stephens County school system students may not have to make up a snow day missed in January.

At Thursday’s Stephens County Board of Education work session, Dorsey proposed that the make-up day be a day of post planning for certified staff and a training day for employees.

The Board of Education is expected to finalize details regarding the make-up day situation at its regular business meeting tonight.

That meeting is set for 5:30 p.m. at the Stephens County School System Administrative Offices, which are located in the old Big A School, on Big A School Road, just off of Big A Road.
