Rabun Co. Sheriff’s Office Arrests Man on Outstanding Warrant

On Saturday, April 15, 2017 Clayton PD Officers and Rabun County Sheriff’s Office Deputies contacted 36-year-old Rusty Derek Garrison of Toccoa, Georgia in the parking lot of a local business on Old HWY 441 and arrested him on an outstanding warrant.

Garrison had approximately 80 grams of suspected methamphetamine in his possession at the time of the arrest. Garrison was arrested following a three-week long investigation conducted by the Appalachian RDEO, the Clayton Police Department and the Rabun County Sheriff’s Office for trafficking methamphetamine.

The estimated street value of the suspected methamphetamine is $8000.
