Just a reminder, there is no voting today for Tuesday’s primary election in Stephens County.
The last day to vote early at the Government Building or request a mail-in, paper absentee ballot was on Friday.
Those who did not vote early or request a paper ballot will have to wait until Tuesday to vote in the primary.
All voting on Tuesday will take place at the Stephens County Senior Center on Rose Lane from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Voters will need a picture ID and will have to choose which ballot style they want, whether it be Democrat, Republican, or non-partisan.
Stephens County voters are choosing winners in a number of local races, including three contested Stephens County Commission races, three contested Stephens County Board of Education races, and the 28th District State House of Representatives race.
All of those races only have Republican candidates and are on the Republican ballot only. Barring a certified write-in candidate, the winner of Tuesday’s primary in those races will win the seat.
Voters in Stephens County are also voting in a contested 9th District U.S. Representative Republican primary and primaries on both the Democratic and Republican ballots for numerous state races.
