An annual Thanksgiving holiday tradition will take place later this month in Toccoa.
The men of Friendship will sponsor their annual Sandra Harbin Pre-Thanksgiving Dinner for Senior Citizens on Sunday, November 24 at the Toccoa-Stephens County Boys and Girls Club on Whitman Street.
Randolph Sherman is one of the organizers.
He said they are excited to continue the event again this year.
“This is our 18th year,” said Sherman. “You have to be 55 or older. You can pick up dinners from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. (if you are unable to dine in). The dinner starts at 1 p.m. for the dine-in people.”
The first 100 seniors to dine in starting at 1 p.m. will receive a gift.
Following the dinner, they will once again also hold the annual Wendell Sherman Gospel Concert.
Sherman said everyone is invited to that event.
“The memorial gospel concert starts at 2:30 p.m. and goes until around 4 or 4:30 p.m.,” said Sherman. “It is free to everybody.”
