Power Returns To Downtown Toccoa

October 17, 2012

Things are returning to normal after power outages in downtown Toccoa earlier today.

Power was off to a number of buildings in downtown Toccoa, including AM 630 WNEG Radio, Toccoa City Hall and the Stephens County Government Building, from about 8:45 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

That followed a power outage that lasted from about 6:50 a.m. to 8:10 a.m. this morning.

The culprit both times, according to reports, was a broken power pole on Doyle Street, next to the Toccoa Fire Department.
