The Toccoa Police Department says it arrested one person last week in connection to a shoplifting report.

According to a report on file, police responded to a store on February 27 in reference to someone allegedly taking perfume.

Police say they tracked down the suspect, identified as a 31-year-old James H. Wooten, in the parking lot and charged him with felony Theft by Shoplifting, as well as Possession of Methamphetamine and Obstructing or Hindering EMT’s.

Elsewhere, Toccoa Police responded to a South Sage Street location in reference to damage to property on February 26.

Police report that someone reported that they had three vehicles with flat tires for a total of eight flat tires, each costing $100.

Meanwhile, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Clary Connector business on February 26.

According to the report on file, a large amount of money was taken from the business.

The report does not list an exact amount of how much was missing.

Finally, the Sheriff’s Office responded to an Oak Valley Road location on February 28.

In the report, the deputy says that a person saw someone at the location that was not supposed to be there and after going through the house, saw that a .38 revolver was missing.

All of the incidents remain under investigation.
