The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office announces the arrest of two individuals on drug charges.
According to a report from the Sheriff’s Office, deputies went to a location on Pinetree Road on April 8 to serve a warrant.
Deputies reported that when they arrived, they found some individuals were in possession of controlled substances.
The report said that 49-year-old Timothy Roger Wilmont of Toccoa and 23-year-old Eric Allan Sheriff of Martin were arrested.
According to the report, both were charged with Possession of Marijuana, while Wilmont was also reportedly charged with Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent to Distribute and Possession of Cocaine with Intent to Distribute and Sheriff was also charged with Possession of Cocaine.
Elsewhere, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence on Farmer Road last Thursday in reference to a reported burglary.
The complainant told deputies in the report that various memorabilia items worth about $120 had been taken from the residence.
Finally, the Toccoa Police Department received a report from a Stovall Lane resident last Wednesday that someone had entered his car parked across from his home and stolen a backpack containing several items sometime between March 31 and last Wednesday.
The value of the missing items was estimated to be about $305.
The investigations into those incidents continue.
