The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to a local business recently in response to a report of theft.

The report from the Sheriff’s Office stated that a deputy responded to a Highway 17 business on Monday in reference to a report of an automobile having been entered.

According to the report, $163 in cash and $25 in other items were taken.

Elsewhere, the Sheriff’s Office also responded to a Hayes Street residence on Monday in reference to a reported theft.

The report on file stated that $100 in miscellaneous items were taken from the residence sometime between early Sunday morning and Monday afternoon.

The investigations into both incidents continue.
