The Toccoa Police Department is investigating a reported theft from a vehicle last week.

According to the report on file, police responded to Cane   Brake Circle on July 31, where a woman told the officer that she had a laptop computer and $500 in cash stolen from her vehicle between 12:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. that day.

Elsewhere, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Crawford Farm Drive on July 30 in reference to a theft by taking report.

A woman told a deputy that $3,000 worth of items were taken.  The report does not specify what was taken in the incident, which the report states happened between July 18 and July 30.

Finally, the Sheriff’s Office responded to a Highway 17 commercial property in Martin on July 29 in reference to a reported theft.

The report stated that $1,600 worth of electronics were taken between July 21 and July 29.

Both of those incidents also remain under investigation.
