Authorities are investigating a burglary at an Eastanollee storage unit.
The Stephens County Sheriffs Office responded to a storage unit on Scott Road on July 6 after a burglary had been reported. The estimated total cost of goods stolen from the storage unit amounted to around $10,000. According to the report, the burglary happened sometime over the last four months. The report does not list specifically what was taken.
Meanwhile, the Sheriffs Office also responded to a call on Wolf Pit Road in Eastanollee on the morning of July 9 where a burglary had taken place totaling $6,300 in stolen property. The report does not list specifically what was taken in the theft, which occurred sometime between 4:30 p.m. on July 8 and 7:45 a.m. on July 9.
Elsewhere, a Martin resident has reported a burglary to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office. According to the report on file, deputies responded on the morning of July 1 to Gregory Drive, where the resident reported that their home had been broken into and that $4,000 in jewelry and other precious metals had been taken. The incident happened sometime between June 28 and July 1, according to the report.
Finally, the Toccoa Police Department responded to a shop on Braswell Street after multiple items were found missing. Upon arrival, the complainant reported that 4 to 5 weed eaters, a chainsaw, a backpack blower, and a leaf blower were among the stolen items.
