A Martin resident is reporting a burglary to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.
According to a report on file, a deputy responded to Avalon Road on Wednesday in reference to a reported burglary. The resident told the Sheriff’s Office that sometime last Wednesday afternoon; a firearm and some miscellaneous jewelry were taken from the home. Authorities valued the missing items at a total of about $600.
Elsewhere, the Toccoa Police Department responded to Edwards Street in reference to a reported robbery last Thursday.
According to the report, the man was robbed during the early evening hours last Thursday at a home. The man told police he was punched in the face as he left the back door of the house, at which point his cell phone and cash from his wallet were both stolen.
Finally, a woman reported to Toccoa Police last Wednesday that her pocket book was stolen from her vehicle, which was located on Boulevard at the time.
The investigations into the incidents continue.
