An East Doyle Street resident tells police that her home was burglarized.

The Toccoa Police Department responded to the home on Thursday, May 2, where the woman says the burglary had taken place between noon and 1:30 p.m., according to the report on file.

Meanwhile, the Toccoa Police Department responded to Morgan Place in reference to a reported theft on April 30.

The report on file states that a bike was stolen sometime between 5 p.m. on April 29 and 5 p.m. on April 30.

Both incidents remain under investigation.

Elsewhere, the Toccoa Police Department is reporting an arrest on drug charges.

According to the report on file, an officer was patrolling on Big A Road when he observed a truck fail to dim its headlights and also noted the truck did not have a working tag light.

Police pulled the vehicle over and the report states that the officer found methamphetamine and methadone in the vehicle.

Authorities say that Kenneth Paul Burk, Jr. of Fernside Drive, Toccoa, was arrested and charged with two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance and traffic violations.
