The Stephens County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two recent vehicle thefts.

According to a report on file from the Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to Pineview Road on April 24 in reference to a stolen vehicle. The individual says that a 2000 red Chevy S-10 pickup valued at $1,500 was taken from that location.

Meanwhile, a Sheriff’s Office deputy also responded to Whispering Pines Road on August 25 in reference to a theft. The report states that an individual told the deputy that a 1996 green Ford pickup was stolen. It is valued at $3,000. According to the report, the incident is believed to have happened between 6 p.m. on April 24 and 6:45 a.m. on April 25.

Elsewhere, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office also responded to a Martin residence in reference to a theft.

According to the report on file, a deputy responded to a home on Chateau Village, where a man said that someone had stolen the central air conditioning unit sometime in the last two to three weeks. The stolen unit is valued at $600.

The investigation into that incident also continues.
