Hart EMC is reporting a theft to authorities.

According to a report on file with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, a deputy responded to a Highway 123 location on September 24, where he was told that several rolls of copper wiring and a pair of insulated bolt cutters had been taken. The items taken totaled more than $1,200 in value. The report states that the incident occurred between September 21 and September 24.

In addition, the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cross Creek Drive on September 23, where an individual reported that a 6 ft. homemade telescope valued at $500 had been taken.

Elsewhere, the Toccoa Police Department responded to a location on Boulevard on September 18 in reference to a burglary. A pistol was taken from the residence, according to the report.

Finally, a Crestwood Drive resident told the Toccoa Police Department on September 17 that $150 in cash had been taken from her residence.

The investigation into the incidents continue.
