A Lotus Drive resident is reporting a theft to the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the report on file, a deputy responded to a mobile home last Saturday afternoon, where an individual reported that he had been renting the mobile home and noticed while cleaning it up that someone had taken the air conditioning unit. The unit is valued at $1,800.

In addition, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Tatum Street on January 26 in reference to a reported theft.

The man told the deputy that someone had taken about $300 worth of personal property from outside his residence. The report does not list what specifically was taken.

Meanwhile, the Sheriff’s Office responded to Oak Valley Road on Tuesday in reference to a reported vehicle theft.

The victim told authorities that sometime between 8:30 p.m. Monday and 5:30 a.m. Tuesday, someone stole a 1999 blue Ford Taurus from the residence.

Prior to that, the Sheriff’s Office received a separate report of a possible attempted burglary earlier this week, also on Oak Valley Road.

According to the report on file, a deputy responded late Monday night to a report of suspicious activity. The report states that multiple suspects were on scene attempting to steal items from a boat. The suspects fled. Nothing was reported taken.

All of the incidents remain under investigation.
