An Eastanollee resident is reporting a theft from her vehicle recently to authorities.

According to the report on file with the Stephens County Sheriff’s Office, authorities responded to Highway 145 on December 27, where a woman said someone entered her vehicle and took a firearm from under the passenger side seat. The firearm was valued at $95.

Elsewhere, the Toccoa Police Department responded to a Big A Road location on December 20 in reference to a theft. According to the report on file, the man said that he had a Magnavox television and Toshiba tablet stolen from him that afternoon.

Both incidents remain under investigation.

Finally, the Toccoa Police Department made one arrest recently in reference to a theft case.

The report on file states that an officer responded to a business on the corner of Broad and Currahee streets, where the clerk stated that someone had stolen a collection jar located at the business. Later that night, police state that Phillip Jermonte Bruce of Clemson, South Carolina was arrested for theft by taking in connection with the case.
